An exceptional Royal Worcester vase by George Owen
Dated 1912.
Of classical urn shape with a gadrooned rim and foot upon a square base, the upright loop handles both applied with a ring of gilded pearls at the top, pierced around the body with a band of fine honeycomb, a gold dot at each intersection and a tooled gold border above, the shoulder pierced with a unique band of scrollwork edged with gold bellflowers, further piercing underneath the neck rim, the foot with four separate, small pierced panels, 13.6cm high, factory mark in gold, shape number 2448, incised signature G Owen, gilder's number 19 or 61
