A Caughley cup and saucer and a matching spoon tray
Circa 1785-90.
The cup of fluted double-ogee form with a moulded ear-shaped handle, painted in blue with the unusual 'Rose Festoons' pattern, gold dentil rims, the saucer 13.4cm diam, cup with painted 'S' mark (slight rubbing to gilding), the spoon tray of elongated hexagonal form, decorated en suite, 16.8cm long, impressed 'Salopian' mark (2)
