one side stained nut brown, the other side left natural, kings with elongated "screw" columns, queens, similar, but of smaller size, bishops with petalled knops, knights with arched flower heads or petals, rooks with ring finials, pawns with baluster knopped spires, (the brown king replaced); together with a hinged wooden games board/box, the interior lined with mauve baize (2),
the king 7.5cm high, the pawn 5.5cm high, the box 21cm wide.
