The hood with caddy top over a repousse pierced brass fret supported on three quarter and quarter columns, the long trunk door with wide inlaid border enclosing a series of interlocked shapes picked out in rosewood and centred by a lenticle, on a matching base, the 12inch square brass dial with wheat ear engraved border enclosing elaborate winged cherub head spandrels, the silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with cross half-quarter marks and signed 'Thomas Pare,Londini fecit' just inside the minute band, the matted centre with engraved band of running foliage, decorated chamfered date aperture and subsidiary seconds dial, the dial feet latched to the weight driven movement united by six latched, knopped and ringed pillars, with high count pinions to the anchor escapement with inside countwheel strike on a bell. 239cm (94in) high.

25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
