The rising hood with overhanging cornice and blind cut fretwork over ebonised spirally twisted columns, the long door centred by an oval lenticle with ebonised frame and half-round moulded edge, set with three panels of marquetry depicting flowers including variegated tulips and carnations, the 11 inch square brass dial signed in copperplate script along the lower edge and with winged cherubs head spandrels interspersed with engraved foliage, the silvered Roman and Arabic dial with distinctive half hour markers, matted centre with small subsidiary seconds dial, ringed winding square, decorated date aperture and rose-engraved centre, the movement with five knopped and finned pillars latched to the frontplate, anchor escapement with outside countwheel strike on a bell 2m (6ft 7in) high.

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £2,500 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £2,500 up to and including £300,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £300,000 up to and including £3,000,000;
and 13.9% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £3,000,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
