Book of Hours, Use of Rome, illuminated manuscript on vellum, in Latin, 135 leaves (incomplete, without approximately 7 leaves), collation 112, 29, 310, 4-98, 106, 11-138, 145, 158, 1611, 172, 14 lines, written space 67 x 48mm., in brown ink in a rounded gothic liturgical hand, rubrics in red, initials in alternate red and blue, numerous 2-line verse initials with contrasting penwork and scrolling flourishes, several calligraphic letters adorned with faces, 8 4-line illuminated initial in blue, red and liquid gold on burnished gold (one very worn), a few leaves dampstained, light soiling or fading, modern vellum, covers bowed, 124 x 90mm., [?northern Italy, c.1460-1480]

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £2,500 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £2,500 up to and including £300,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £300,000 up to and including £3,000,000;
and 13.9% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £3,000,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
