1963 Triumph 650cc TR6SR
Frame no. TR6SRDU28286
1963 was a year of change for Triumph. The distinctive styling, combined with superb fit and finish remained, but the underlying mechanicals were new. The duplex frame was dropped in favor of a single downtube design featuring much more torsional rigidity. This frame carried a new engine that now combined the engine and gearbox into a single unit. The 650cc Trophy became the mainstay of the line. Many riders of the day preferred this single-carburetor model with its wide power band to the Bonneville, which required more revving and had less lower RPM torque.

The offered motorcycle has all the hallmarks of the 1963 TR6s, including the nine-stud barrel casting, new cases including the attractive primary case with the stylized Triumph logo, a blue and white tank complete with parcel rack and a dual-tone saddle.

The TR6 was the ancestor to today’s street fighters and will provide the new owner with many happy hours on the road on a motorcycle that set the standard of the day.
