The paneled, molded and carved superstructure with applied spherules and covered urn form finials above a pair of half domed paneled doors each centering a letter slot, one slot cast with the text WOOTON DESK CO/Indianapolis, IND/PAT OCT 6, 1874, the interior of one door with open document dividers and compartments surrounding a glazed prospect door, the other door interior fitted with 40 green cardboard drawers, the case centering a rectangular hinged lid falling to reveal a green tooled leather writing surface and a configuration of compartments, document dividers and short line incised drawers over a column of four short drawers flanked by open compartments resting on a conforming fluted base raised on casters.
