  • According to William Linnard, author of Wales: Clocks & Clockmakers (Ashbourne, 2003), p. 161, there are fifteen brass-dial and twenty-five painted-dial clocks known from the period 1775 - 1819 by the maker Moses Evans (1744 - 1819), who resided at Llanddoged, Llanrwst and Llangernyw in North Wales. Most of the brass dials are signed 'Llanddoget' or 'Llanrwst'; all of the painted dials, as this one is, are signed 'LLangernyw'.
