A rare silver-gilt mounted Potsdam engraved Rubinglas beaker
circa 1700
The faceted flared form cut with two shallow circular panels, one decorated with a putto holding a column supporting a heart, the other with a pair of doves flanking a tree, each respectively inscribed CONSTANT ET FIDÉLE and L'UNION DU COEUR ET DE LA BOUCHE in ribbon, above stiff leaves cut in Hochschnitt, rosette-cut base, the rim with shaped drapery mount above thumbnail facets, circlets and engraved leaves, 10cm high
