Dated 1849.
The faceted flared bowl cut with a large rectangular panel finely engraved with a view of Zwickau, inscribed Sr. Hoch und Wohlgeboren dem Herrn Herrn Thaddaeus Krisch k.k. Hofrath u. Oberdirektor der k.k. Fondsherrschaften, rcoco scrolls below with further inscriptions and a coat-of-arms with the date 1849, above a multi-knopped faceted stem with rope-twist collar and spreading foot with pronounced fan-shaped edge, cut on the underside with fine diamonds and radial facets, the stepped faceted cover with rope-twist edge and pointed finial, 49cm high, signed on the side of the foot Fried.   • Friedrich Egermann (1777-1864) established a leading glass decorating workshop and glasshouse in Bohemia at Haida (Novy Bor). One of the finest examples of Egermann's work is The Culm Goblet which in its parade-like appearance is similar to the present lot and was sold at Sotheby's, 19 December 2002, lot 71

25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
