A George IV silver two-handled tea urn,

compressed circular form, the waisted neck below an applied rim and border of leaf scrolls, flowers and shells, the pull off cover with a seed pod finial, the bellied sides profusely chased with a wide band of entwined flowers, among shells and leaf scrolls, shell cartouche on the back and crested cartouche to the front, embellished leaf scroll and bearded mask spout with an open-work anthemion tap, leaf and shell reeded handles with leaf junctions, on a short pedestal circular foot with ropetwist knop, all on a shaped square base with incurved sides and cut corners, raised on scroll bracket feet, height 37cm, weight 164oz.
