The hood with caddy top over a pair of blind cut frets and projecting cornice supported on brass mounted Doric columns, the trunk door of good figuring and colour within a feather banded edge and D-moulding over a matching base on double apron, the 11 inch square brass dial enclosed by a wheatear border containing the full signature (with evidence of a covering plaque at one time), silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with half-quarter marks encircling a well matted centre with ringed winding squares and decorated date aperture, the movement with five knopped and ringed pillars, anchor escapement and inside countwheel strike on a bell 2.31m (8ft 5ins) high.

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £10,000 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
