Surmounted by a Persian human-headed winged bull on a rectangular base, above a spreading case centred by a circular dial indistinctly inscribed James Murray, Royal Exchange, the substantial twin fusee movement with anchor escapement, bell lacking, the sides with columns decorated with hieroglyphs, flanked to each side by a sphinx, on a stepped base inscribed to the front To the venerable J.Whitley Stokes, archdeacon of Armagh,/from grateful and admiring friends,in remembrance of his "labour of love" in sending them during more than twenty years copies of his scripture calendar./The fruits of which it is hoped, have been found in this life, and will be further enjoyed, when "time shall be no more"./1862.,

27.5% on the first £10,000 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
