Footnotes

  • This example of the 16/20hp Wolseley-Siddeley is offered as a viable restoration project. It is substantially complete and comprises chassis, front and rear axles, road springs, engine, gearbox, steering wheel and column, radiator, pedals, levers and controls, in short a substantially complete motor car. At the time of cataloguing the propeller shaft was missing. The cylinder blocks are, we feel, corroded beyond redemption but it should be noted that a Wolseley engine, believed to be a 16/20hp unit, is also offered in this sale. The car is offered with two seater coachwork with upholstery and mudguards, offering scope for adaption and improvement, and sits on wooden artillery wheels. Restoration will, we feel, be well rewarded, either returning the car to original specification in all respects or using the car for donor components for an early Edwardian racing replica. The car carries registration no. KI 825 but we understand is also registered in Eire with the distinctive Laoighis number CI 2.

and 12% on the balance thereafter. This applies to each lot purchased and is subject to VAT.

For Motor Cars and Motorcycles a 15% Buyer's Premium is payable on the first £50,000 of the final Hammer Price of each Lot, and 12% on any amount by which the Hammer Price exceeds £50,000. VAT at the standard rate is payable on the Premium by all Buyers, unless otherwise stated.
