The caddy top with foliate and bird-inlaid front panel and three turned ball finials over a blind fret, spirally twisted columns to front and rear, inlaid convex throat moulding and long door centred by brass framed lenticle with three shaped panels decorated with tulips, chrysanthemums, carnations and foliage, two holly lined inlaid panels to the sides of the trunk and another at the base, the 11 inch square brass dial with bold winged cherubs' head spandrels interspersed by engraved foliage, signed low on the silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with inner quarter hour track , the finely matted centre with large subsidiary seconds dial, ringed winding squares and matching date aperture, the hands particularly elaborate, the movement with anchor escapement and outside countwheel strike on a bell 2.2m (7ft 3in) high.

27.5% on the first £10,000 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
