The square topped hood with inlaid wheat ear cornice over a blind cut fret supported by barley twist columns, convex throat mouldings, the long door inlaid with three shaped panels of sprays and flowers and lenticle within a wheat ear border, the base similarly inlaid, the 11 inch square brass dial with winged cherubs head spandrels interspersed with engraved foliage, signed low on the silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with fancy sword-hilt half hour marks, matted centre with subsidiary seconds and ringed circular date aperture the movement with six latched knopped and ringed pillars and anchor escapement rack striking on a bell, the pendulum suspended from a 'double hipped' cock 2.16m high

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £10,000 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
