The case with brass handle over brass-lined pads, silk lined fish scale frets to the arched side apertures on a moulded brass banded plinth base and ogee bracket feet, the 3.75-inch brass dial with gilt beaded spandrels, silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals strike/silent subsidiary to the arch with matted centres, the signed twin chain fusee movement with rack striking on a bell and verge escapement, the 3.5-inch long crown wheel arbor runs diagonally to allow for easy adjustment to the end screw at the side of the movement, foliate engraving to the backplate with large single footed balance cock and engraved regulating arc with Arabic numerals to the blued-steel regulating lever 27.5cm (10.75in) high.

25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
