18-jewel baguette shaped movement, rhodium-plated, with straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, matte silvered dial with painted baton hour markers, blued steel hands, dial signed Patek Philippe & Co Geneve and Astrua, Torino, 18ct white gold polished case with hinged back, faceted crystal and straight lugs, fitted Patek Philippe leather strap with 18ct white gold double deployant clasp, together with Extract from Archives, case, dial and movement signed 28mm x 15mm.

  • Driver's style watches were produced in the 1920's and 30's and were worn on the side of the wrist to enable the driver to keep his hands on the wheel and still be able to read the time. Examples by Patek Philippe in white gold are very rare.

25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
