Napoleon I (1796-1821), wearing the uniform of the National Guard, dark blue coat with red piping, a red collar and gold epaulettes, the sash and cross of the Legion of Honour, the Iron Crown of Lombardy and the badge of the Grand Eagle of the Legion of Honour.
Watercolour on card, signed on the obverse in red and dated, A. Onslow 1827, gilded carved and pierced wood frame.

Provenance: The late Rt.Hon the Dowager Countess of Onslow MBE and removed from Clandon Park, Surrey at the time of her husband's death.
