Middle Kingdom, 12th Dynasty, circa 1929-1895 B.C.
Sitting cross legged on a rectangular base with rounded rear edge, wearing a long kilt covering the legs, the hands resting flat on the thighs, with faint traces of the hieroglyphic inscription in black ink running down the lap, around the knees and across the base, containing the cartouche of Ammenemes II, and an offering formula asked of Geb down the kilt, for '?..Antef true of voice, son of Imy, born of..?', 'King of Upper and Lower Egypt Nubkhaura', ie Amennemes II, 95/8in (24.5cm) length of base, chipped and worn
