Barrie], complete set of the 12 large colour plates, 7 SIGNED BY THE ARTIST in pencil on the mount, very slight spotting to 2 plates, some dampstaining to mounts of 7 plates, uniformly framed and glazed, Thomas Agnew labels on verso, without limitation leaf or portfolio [Ryall p.113], approximately 250 x 333mm. (sizes vary), [Hodder and Stoughton, 1912]

RARE EDITION, WITH 7 OF THE 12 PLATES SIGNED. The English edition of the Portfolio was published in 1912 in an edition of 600 numbered copies, all signed by the publishers, engravers and printers. It contained 12 much enlarged plates selected from those in the 1906 edition, mounted in mats and ready for framing. "A rare few had every plate signed by Rackham, although 100 were supposed to be signed, only about 20 actually were" (Ryall).

26% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £20,000 up to and including £700,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £700,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
