A pair of scrimshaw walrus tusks, second half 19th century
Each engraved with three groups of figures, the first tusk with baby, gentleman, and group including a gallant, dancing beauty and exotic figure wearing a turban and holding an oil lamp, the second tusk with peasant woman holding a basket, gallant carrying a woman in his arms and lady holding a spray of flowers, engraved on back ADA H and Ada.
