circular form, on a baluster stem applied with silver masks, foliate motifs and reclining figures, with engraved decoration on a matted background and applied with a band of garnet and emerald cabochons, beaded border, the whole on a raised circular foot with similar applied decoration, inscribed to base, " Maurice Mayer, Orfèvre Joaillier de L'Empereur 362 rue St. Honore, Paris", height 26.3cm, diameter 31.8cm, weight 60oz.
