An Unusual 70-Bore Small Flintlock Pistol

With slightly swamped barrel in three stages separated by mouldings and with a ring at the muzzle, the octagonal breech section with raised longitudinal ribs extending down the tang, three of them of brass, border engraved flat bevelled brass lock decorated at its centre with a seated female figure and a dog, and on the tail with a rabbit, engraved cock and steel (the former broken), moulded lightly carved walnut full stock (butt repaired), ebonised pommel (possibly associated) carved in the round in the Dutch fashion as a moor's head with mother-of-pearl eyes, wearing a laurel-wreath and with white staghorn collar, lightly engraved brass mounts, shaped solid side-plate engraved with two hounds in pursuit of a hare, faceted trigger-guard with foliate finial, turned octagonal ramrod-pipes, and wooden ramrod

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £10,000 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
