A Dutch 15-Bore 1820 Model Percussion Military Pistol

Converted from flintlock, with plain barrel retained by a shaped pierced brass barrel band also forming the ramrod-entry and struck with sub-inspector's mark of F.B.E. Spirlet, the dated breech struck with conversion mark on the left, tang engraved 'M 1820' and with extension down the back of the butt, flat bevelled lock struck with sub-inspector's mark of Benoit Saltzherr and with remains of brass pan struck with inspector's mark of P.J. Wilmart, ring-topped hammer chequered on the inside, figured walnut three-quarter stock stamped with inspector's mark of J.C. Heym opposite the lock, regulation brass mounts including slightly beaked butt-cap, and stirrup ramrod, in fine condition
