Footnotes

  • Originally produced in flintlock form by J.L. de Loneaux and J. Devillers of Liège, these pistols were converted to percussion from 1843 onwards. A safety-catch was fitted in 1844, but this became superfluous in 1846, when an extra notch was added to the tumbler holding the hammer in the half-cock position. See H.E. Harder / W.A. Dreschler, Die Militärrevolver der Niederlande 1856-1940, pp. 13-14
