A six string French Guitar by Cabasse Visnaire L'aine circa 1820
L.O.B 435mm., Stamped Cabasse Visnaire L'aine on the inner back and further stamped Cabasse Visnaire on the upper block. The two-piece back of rosewood with mother of pearl and ebony alternate pattern edging repeated on the table around the edge and following throughout edge of the sixteen fretted neck and head. The table with six moustache pin bridge, the table with black oval inlay on the treble side. The head with side scroll with mother of pearl shield, the six pegs with mother of pearl inlay. The sound hole edged with mother of pearl and ebony pattern in black leather shaped case.
