This Daimler Conquest 1955 export model was shipped new to Brunei had been treated to somewhat casual local servicing and badly needed refurbishment. This prospect held no terrors for a Mr Jessiman, who had successfully completed a course at the Daimler School of Instruction in Coventry in the mid-1950s. However having started work Mr Jessiman himself returned home to Scotland to take up a new job. The Conquest Century was delivered to Daimler’s Willesden service centre for its restoration to be completed. Daimler’s invoice for this work, dated 23rd March 1962, is included in the sale. The car was collected from Willesden by Mr Jessiman, who drove it home to Helensburgh. The vendor purchased the car from the Jessiman family circa 2003, at which time it had been in garage storage for some years. Cleaned and re-commissioned the car is offered with road fund licence/MoT to May 2006 and Swansea V5 document.
