1989 Jaguar XJ-S V12 Convertible
Registration no. G100 GRP
Chassis no. SAJJNADW3DB104781
Engine no. 8S070638SA
Conceived as a comfortable and long-legged Granturismo, rather than an out-and-out sportscar like the E-Type, the XJ-S employed the Jaguar XJ6/XJ12 saloon platform and running gear. Shorter in the wheelbase than its saloon siblings, the XJ-S debuted as a V12-powered coupé, with six-cylinder and soft-top versions following in the 1980s.
This original and unmolested XJ-S V12 Convertible comes with comprehensive service history including main agent-stamped service book, sundry other invoices and all MoTs confirming the recorded mileage of circa 33,000 as genuine. Notable bills on file record post-factory rust proofing and the fitting of a new ECU. An automatic transmission model finished in Old English White with Burgundy interior, the car is reported to drive beautifully. Representing a rare opportunity to acquire an XJ-S Convertible in outstandingly original condition and at a fraction of its £36,000 cost new, it is offered with all books, tools and factory instructional videotape, current road fund licence, fresh MoT and Swansea V5.
