1960 Jaguar 2.4 litre Mark II Saloon Registration no. SFF 620 Chassis no. 102980D/N Engine no. B6-4664-8
Footnotes
Jaguars world-beating Mark II saloons made their debut in October 1959 and were distinguishable from earlier models by their slimmer windscreen pillars, deeper side windows and the disappearance of its predecessors rear wheel spats, enabling the track to be widened, enhancing roll-resistance and stability. The new model was offered in 2.4 litre, 3.4 litre and 3.8 litre guise. The car offered typical Jaguar luxury and opulence combined with sporting performance. Servo-assisted hydraulic braking ensured that the performance of the car was matched by stopping ability. Interior trim was in leather with pile carpets and polished walnut woodwork furnishings and the styling was naturally to the standards expected from the Browns Lane drawing offices.
This car is to manual specification with overdrive and is presented in grey livery with red upholstery. It is to factory specification in all major respects and the present recorded mileage is 67,000 or so, with all MoTs back to 1982 confirming this. Recent work has included refurbishment of the braking system, suspension, torque and roll bar, bushes renewed, subframe mounts, new tyres and wheels with bills amounting to in excess of £3,000. The vendor reports good oil pressure and informs us that the chassis etc has been waxoyled.
The car is offered with a Swansea registration document, current Mot certificate and road fund licence.
