A late 17th century seaweed marquetry inlaid longcase clock
Windmills Londini, the case associated
Rebuilt square topped hood with inlaid cornice over Doric columns and long trunk door with half round moulded edge and lenticle, on a stepped plinth base, the 12 inch square brass dial with stylised wheat-ear engraved border enclosing female mask and scroll spandrels, signed silvered Roman and arabic chapter ring with half quarter marks, matted centre with subsidiary seconds, ringed winding squares and circular date aperture, the movement with four knopped and finned pillars, anchor escapement with inside countwheel strike (hood and base with some re-building) 2.21m (7ft 3in) high.

Buyers' Premium and Charges

27.5% on the first £2,500 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £2,500 up to and including £300,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £300,000 up to and including £3,000,000;
and 13.9% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £3,000,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
