Nova Anglia Septentrionali Americae implantata Anglorumque coloniis florentissima. Nuremberg, c.1730. Copper-engraved map with hand-coloring (including cartouche), 495 x 585 mm. Left margin renewed, three small repairs to verso, mild toning and a couple of unobtrusive water spots with rubbing to paper, very good.

Attractive map of the English and Dutch colonies from Delaware Bay to Maine and inland to the mouth of Riviere St. Louis. There are large, misplaced, Lakes Champlain and Seneca, a large Boston Harbor, and Cape Cod is shown as an island. The cartouche depicts an Englishman holding a pelt, surrounded by trade goods and in negotiation with a Native American, many Indian tribes are named.,
