With brass three-stage turn-off cannon barrels numbered from '1' to '4' at the breeches, the border engraved breeches numbered to correspond, border engraved brass actions engraved with rococo ornament and flowering foliage and each signed on a rococo scroll against a trophy of arms on the right side, and with sliding iron pan cut-off on the left (one jaw screw replaced), iron trigger-guards each engraved with a flowerhead in a diamond-shaped panel on the bow, figured swelling butts profusely inlaid with silver wire scrollwork, shells and engraved silver flowerheads, silver escutcheons each engraved with owner's monogram, and later silver grotesque mask butt-caps with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1781/2, silver maker's mark of Charles Freeth, Tower private proof marks (2)
