Circa 1860
With tapering double-edged blade (extreme tip missing) cut with a double fuller over most of its length on each side, steel hilt comprising guard pierced with a foliate design on one side, downscrolled rear quillon pierced for the muzzles, pommel with spring-catch, and chequered leather grips (some wear), in original wood-lined black leather scabbard (some damage) with steel locket and chape, the former with frog-button (light pitting overall)
