Sold for US$ 9,200 inc. premium
1999 BMW 323i Convertible
2 Fast 2 Furious
Universal, 2003
This black 1999 BMW 323 Convertible is a stunt car used in the initial chase scene in 2 Fast 2 Furious in which the applicants for the driving job must race each other to retrieve a packet (later shown to contain one cigar) from the boss-man’s Ferrari which is in impound. Several of the cars in this chase do not fare well- one will remember the Mustang, for instance. It didn’t go quite so badly with the BMW which was forced into the water barrels at a freeway exit. In the collision it manages to fill another pursuing car, a Dodge Viper, with water, thus putting them both out of the race.

Restored by Ted Moser of Picture Car Warehouse, this car is fitted with a black leather interior, straight 6-cylinder engine with automatic transmission, and is customized with flared wheel wells, rear spoiler and full ground effects.
