*A 12 gauge prewar Browning Grade II Superposed over and under shotgun
Serial no. 12861. 12 gauge. 26 inch barrels marked Browning Arms Co. St. Louis, Mo./ Special Steel. Matted flat rib with double beads. Action engraved with fine foliate scroll and pair of pigeons on each side. Ejectors. Single selective trigger. Long tang. Finely checkered pistolgrip stock of slightly-figured dark walnut. Round knob. One inch brown rubber Pachmayr recoil pad. Finely checkered fore-end.
Condition: Excellent, shows limited use. Barrels show 98% bluing with slight spotting. Bright bores. Trigger works, but needs cleaning. Wood shows handling marks.
Data: Barrel Dimensions: Bores: 0.726/0.725 inches. Chokes: 0.021/0.011 inches (Modified/Improved Cylinder). Chambers: 2 3/4 inches. Stock Dimensions: Pull: 13 7/8 inches. Drop at comb: 1 1/2 inches. Drop at heel: 2 1/4 inches. Weight: 7 pounds 1 ounce.
