Note: Manuel Laureano Rodrigues Y Sanchez, known as Manolete, was doubtless the most famous Spanish bullfighter of all time. He was born in Cordoba, Spain in July of 1917 and commenced his career in 1939. He was killed by a bull in Linares, Spain on August 28, 1947.
