1956 Rolls-Royce 4.9 Litre Silver Wriath Seven Passenger Limousine
Coachwork by Park Ward

Registration no. YLG 17
Chassis no. FLW16
Engine no. L15F
The Silver Wraith was arguably the last mid-range Rolls-Royce built in the best pre-war traditions, bridging the gap between the pre-war Wraith and the Cloud series of cars and lending itself well to the traditional skills of the dwindling group of bespoke coachbuilders. This Car, featuring automatic transmission, caries such bespoke coachwork by Rolls-Royces’ ‘In House’ coachbuilders, Park Ward and Co Ltd. Records confirm that it was used by the Conduit St Saleroom as a ‘trails car’ – presumably a demonstrator, later passing to Patrick Barthropp Ltd of Eaton Square SW1.

The Car is presented in white livery, having just come out of wedding service, for which it remains eminently suitable. The Vendor advises us that the mechanics of the car are serviceable, although the electronic division is currently not operating. It is reported that some areas on the lower panels need attention. This handsome limousine offers much potential for further enhancement and comes with its original distinctive registration No. YLG17, current road fund licence and long MOT to May 2006, together with copies of factory records.
