A fine Swansea centrepiece

of lobed rectangular shape, set on a waisted pedestal of the same shape, applied with twig handles, decorated in London in the workshop of John Powell, in the centre with an oval fanciful harbour scene at sunset, two Turks boarding a small boat at a stone jetty with further figures and a classical archway, a sailing ship sporting the French flag setting sail in the distance, the rim with gilt rococo-style scroll-edged panels, the handles also gilt, 31.9cm wide
