A fine Swansea twig-handled dish
circa 1817-20
of lobed rectangular shape applied with a pair of twig handles, decorated in London in the workshop of John Powell, the centre with an oval Chinese river scene at sunset, with junks sailing past a tall pagoda or temple, a group of figures standing on the junk in the foreground, the rim with gilt rococo-style scroll-edged panels, the handles also gilt, 28.3cm wide (minor wear to gilt rim)
