Footnotes

  • Zorensky catalogue, fig. 198. Provenance: sold in these rooms 12 June 1985, lot 194. Illustrated by John Sandon, Phillips Guide to English Porcelain, p. 55 and Dictionary of Worcester Porcelain, p. 134. The shape of these vases with the everted rim is a great rarity and was possibly made to form a garniture with one or more of the standard hexagonal vases with covers.
