An Old Sheffield plate two-handled soup tureen and cover,
circa 1830,
of lobed oval form, the "C" scroll border embellished with frosted acanthus leaves, flowers and shell motifs, the ribbed handles with trailing leaf junctions, raised on four ornate flower leaf and scroll feet, with let-in silver shields on side, one engraved with a crest below a motto height 28.5cm., length handle to handle 41.5cm.
