signed by thirty-one crew members and other persons involved in the raid who had, that day, received their awards at Buckingham Palace, including Wing Cdr. Guy Gibson VC, F/Sgt. Sumpter DFM, F. Officer Hobday DFC, B.N. Wallis (Designer of the Bouncing Bomb), P/Officer Sparfford DFC, Sgt. V. Nicholson DFM, F. Sgt. K.W. Brown CGM, Reg Pierson CBE (Chief Designer Vickers Armstrong - Aircraft Section), Eve Gibson (Guy Gibson's wife).

Footnotes

These signatures were collected by Flight Lieutenant Richard Algernon Dacre Trevor-Roper who was awarded the DFM on the 23rd December 1942 and the DFC on the 28th May 1943 for the Dam Buster raid on which he was Guy Gibson's tail gunner. He was later killed in action on Friday 31st March 1944.

The note by Gibson "To Pat" refers to Trevor-Roper's wife who was in hospital having just given birth to a son.
