With leaf-sighted barrel rifled with twelve grooves, retained by three spring-held brass barrel bands and stamped 'K.F.G. Fabrik' on the octagonal breech, flat bevelled lock numbered '849' and stamped with a small crowned double-headed eagle on the tail, sprung thumb-operated tube-retainer incorporating the detonating cover, lightly figured full stock, butt with cheekpiece, regulation brass mounts including spur trigger-guard, sling loops, and steel ramrod, probably original

  • Originally invented by Giuseppe Console for the Austrian Army this system was later modified by General Vincent Augustin. The system had the advantage of preventing the tube from being blown out of the vent, and also protected the firer if the tube broke into fragments

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £2,500 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £2,500 up to and including £300,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £300,000 up to and including £3,000,000;
and 13.9% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £3,000,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
