  • The work of Jean-Baptiste Lienard is better known from the engravings he produced for some of the plates illustrating the abbe de Saint-Non's Voyage pittoresque du Royaume de Naples et de Sicile (1781-1786). A pupil of Jean-Philippe Lebas (1707-1783), he engraved from the drawings and paintings of Jean-Baptiste Le Prince (1734-1781) and Hubert Robert (1733-1808). Lienard also signed three plates for the first edition of Beaumarchais's Mariage de Figaro, 1780-1784.

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £10,000 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
