Circle of John Riley (1646-1691) Portrait of James Gulston of Widial, three-quarter length, seated with his dog, with tassled curtain and landscape beyond 127 x 101.5cm (50 x 40in), in a carved giltwood frame.

English Follower of Sir Anthony Van Dyck (c.1645) A portrait of Sir Arthur Hopton, three quarter length wearing black, being handed a letter from a gentleman, said to be his brother 115 x 134cm (45¼ x 52¾in).

Circle of Michael Dahl (Swedish 1656-1743) A portrait of Sir William Gulston, bust length, with a powdered wig and blue coat oval 75 x 61cm (29½ x 24in), in a carved giltwood and gesso frame.

Buyers' Premium and Charges

For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £20,000 of the hammer price;
26% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £20,000 up to and including £700,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £700,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
