1973 MV Agusta 350B Elettronica
Registration no. LNV 742L
Frame no. 21301997
Engine no. 21302069
Introduced at the Milan Show in 1971, MV’s first production 350 roadster was an over-bored version of the existing 250 model that had been around since 1967. Of unit construction, the 349cc engine was a twin-cylinder, overhead-valve unit featuring gear primary drive to a five-speed transmission. Claimed maximum power was 32bhp and top speed in excess of 90mph. Two versions were made: the touring 350GT and sports 350B, both of which were updated with 12-volt electrics and electronic ignition in October 1972. They were replaced by re-styled ‘square case’ equivalents for 1975.
The vendor advises us that this example was imported from Italy by specialist dealer Brian Fox, of Lincolnshire, circa 1999 and purchased by him - its sole owner in the UK - soon after. Import duty has been paid and the bike was first licensed on 27th June 2001. The machine benefits from a total restoration undertaken during present ownership, the refurbishment including an engine rebuild, repaint, professionally re-wired electrics, new battery, wheels rebuilt with stainless-steel spokes, re-covered saddle, new brightwork and new correct-size Michelin M38 tyres. Finished in red, the machine is presented in very good/excellent condition and offered with MV Agusta Owners Club dating certificate, sundry restoration invoices, road fund licence/MoT to May 2005 and Swansea V5 registration document.
