After Anna Tonelli (19th Century) A lady, Mrs Sophy Dawson, in profile, her flowing fair hair dressed with a leafy garland, and wearing a white dress oval 40mm, together with a portrait of a boy in pearl fringed frame, another of a lady with paste surround and a pair of portraits en grisaille by other hands.(5)

English School (c.1770) A young lady in turquoise gown with matching choker, earrings and hair ornament oval 30mm, another similar, a lady wearing black bonnet and a girl in white dress.(3)

Circle of Gustavus Hamilton(c.1739-1775) An officer, wearing scarlet coat with blue facings and gold epaulette oval 37mm, together with a gentleman wearing black coat, a 19th century copy of a lady and a child in pearl frame bearing the false signature 'Roche'.(4)

English Provincial School (c.1820) A young gentleman, in near profile, wearing blue coat with white stock and frilled shirt and having powdered hair oval 76mm, in gilt metal frame with plaited hair and enamel reverse with the initials 'RM', together with two others, a gentleman in blue coat and a cased blind beggar.(3)

English School (c.1785) A gentleman having powdered hair and wearing a blue coat, white waistcoat and frilled cravat oval 41mm, in gold bracelet mount.

French School (19th Century) The Empress Josephine, wearing a black, lace-trimmed gown, jewelled headdress and black necklace and eardrops oval 53mm, together with two others of ladies and a gentleman, all unframed.(4)

English School (c.1810) A gentleman having curling brown hair and blue eyes and wearing a brown coat with velvet collar, white frilled shirt and stock oval 56mm, in gilt metal frame, the reverse glazed to reveal plaited hair compartment with the initials 'JR', together with another miniature of a gentleman, bearing the signature 'Guerin' (cracked).(2)

Engle (late 19th Century) A young lady with pink ribbon in her auburn hair, having brown eyes and wearing a pearl necklace and eardrops oval 47mm in silk border and gold frame, together with a miniature of a lady in lace cap, by Frederick Buck, cased.(2)

Continental School (c.1900) A lady with elegantly dress powdered hair held in a bandeau oval 73mm, together with another decorative miniature of a lady in pink gown and ermine trimmed cloak, both in gilt metal frames.(2)

English School (early 19th Century) A miniature portrait, possibly of Theo Currer-Briggs, half-length, wearing glasses and reading a book 98 x 78mm, together with a portrait of a lady, possibly Ellen Currer, framed together in a rosewood frame.

Buyers' Premium and Charges

For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £20,000 of the hammer price;
26% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £20,000 up to and including £700,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £700,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
