the case with inverted bell top, cast handle and four cone finials over a concave moulded cornice, circular and shaped side apertures, all lined with brass, the front and rear doors with engraved brass foliate corner pieces, on a moulded base with moulded block feet, the 5.75 inch arched brass dial signed in a shaped plaque flanked by subsidiary dials for Strike/Silent and rise and fall regulation with engraved floral details over well cast lacquered spandrels cast with baskets of fruits, the silvered Roman and arabic chapter ring enclosing a finely matted centre with wide visible mock pendulum aperture and date aperture, with good blued steel hands, the twin gut fusee movement substantial plates united by five knopped pillars, verge escapement with rack strike on a bell, the backplate signed to the centre to incorporate the pendulum holdfast, surrounded by foliate scrolls and a bird 42cms (16.5ins.) high

27.5% on the first £2,500 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £2,500 up to and including £300,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £300,000 up to and including £3,000,000;
and 13.9% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £3,000,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
